I can't buy your argument, Tazabi
Tazabi, I appreciate your comments on Bewketu's piece and I like the flow of your arguments but you also seem to conclude hastly that Bewketu is not matured to judge the credibility of the king's performance particularly in terms of justice.
Though I have some differences with Bewketu when it comes to some of the points you mentioned agendas(for example religion), I can agree with his current observation about the King.Of course, I even believe that all ethiopian rulers that have been ruling the country before the currentl ruling party are far worst performing in terms of justice, equality and human right issues. But this argument does not lend any credit to bostow the current ruling party as it is still malfunctioned system.
Bewketu seem to be radicalist on the binding cultures of ethiopia particularly those associated with kingship and their deeds.I completely agree with his argument. But I eventually came across people who like advocating kingship like you Tazabi.Of course, we ethiopains are resilent to change and this has been agravated by the ruling system which bostows individual blessing of kingship.
